Goat liver fry is our favorite food from our childhood days. In our family, this is how goat meats are introduced to our kids(First Bite). We used to get liver fries on Sundays, and this recipe is from my Mom.
Ingredients:
Goat liver cleaned, washed, and cut into small pieces (cooks a little fast if the pieces are small)
Handful of Fennel seeds, red chili (whole without the stem), curry leaves, and red chili powder is optional.
Gingelly oil - (Sesame seed oil) This oil brings extra aroma, and this dish needs extra oil as the liver will be cooked mostly on oil (add very little water if required).
Method:
Heat the oil in a pan and add Fennel seeds
Add the red chili and curry leaves
Add the liver and fry
Add salt (and chili powder if needed)
Fry the liver till you get a dark outer layer
Serve hot
